Ancient Groove Music specialises in producing editions of sacred choral music that have the highest standards of music engraving, academic rigour and performability. The catalogue consists of scholarly editions, from the Renaissance through the Baroque to the present day, designed by performers for performers. We also publish books on music and literature written by musicians.

One of the highlights of our collection is an authentic edition of Allegri's Miserere mei, and an essay detailing the research is included on this site. Other essays on this site describe the various ways in which the Lord's Prayer was set to music in Tudor times; and the text of the poem Nolo mortem peccatoris.

A major new collection of the works of Antonio Lotti (1667 - 1740) is underway; this includes unaccompanied masses and motets, as well as concert works for chorus and orchestra.

Ancient Groove Music is proud to announce the publication of A Plain and Easie Introduction to Practical Musicke by Thomas Morley. Published in 1597 by one of England's greatest Tudor composers, it was the first book to be written in English on the subject of music.

Recent additions to the catalogue include the St. John Passion by Victoria and Quemadmodum by Taverner.

Ancient Groove Music also offers Free eBooks and Music, including John Redford's morality play, c.1540, The Play of Wit and Science.

Ancient Groove Music will also consider commissions and suggestions for additions to the catalogue.
